Circle Round

A beginning, again.

I’ve always moved in spirals rather than straight lines. Trying to fit myself neatly into little boxes and categories never seems to work. Besides, Life doesn’t really move forward in a neat progression—It circles. Deepens. Returns.

Like Mother Earth circling Father Sun—rhythmic, reliable, never quite retracing Her steps.

This jewel of a planet is God’s greatest cathedral — carved not by hands but by wind and time, bone and fire. She is sacred ground, humming with old songs, still singing beneath the silence we’ve laid over Her.

I feel Her ache in the cracked riverbeds, the smoke-choked skies, the quiet where birdsong used to be. But I also feel Her resilience — in the way moss returns, trees reach through concrete, seeds dream in forgotten soil.

She suffers. She endures. She forgives more than we deserve. And still, She calls us home — not to dominate, but to remember we are kin.

I’ve been walking a spiritual path for years, mostly in quiet ways—through tarot, motherhood, ritual, reverence, shadow work, and listening for whisperings of the land. It’s been deeply private and deeply revelational. A path of personal gnosis.

And lately… Spirit’s been nudging me. To step forward. To share more. To speak from the place in me that listens to trees and deciphers cards and honors both ancestors and children.

I’m scared, if I’m honest. Not because I don’t believe in this path—but because it asks me to be seen.

So this is my beginning. In the middle of everything.
This blog will be a home for the sacred, the strange, the honest.
For reflections on animism, sacred motherhood, tarot, healing, shadow, and soul.

May we stop defiling this holy place.
May we learn to worship with our hands, our choices, our listening.

Thank you for meeting me here.
I’m so glad we’ve found each other in the circle. 🌀

With love,
Marty

Verses for gathering:

Let’s make a circle like a circle ‘round the sun
Let’s make a circle that includes everyone

Let’s make a circle like a circle ‘round the moon
Let’s make a circle that includes me & you

Let’s make a circle, let the light shine through
Let’s make a circle that includes each of you
